Manager of Contributions

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for Manager of Contributions responsible for driving the success of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts.

Typical Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Implement a fund-raising plan leading to the creation of strategies, writing proposals/letters, and marketing funding opportunities to prospective donors required to meet annual goals
  • Develop and implement a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with donors to promote increased donations
  • Define and approach corporate giving partners
  • Develop, manage, and apply donor intelligence information to maximize fund-raising efforts
  • Manage grants – writing, tracking obtained grants for reporting to granting organization
  • Interface with internal groups – Marketing, Finance, Operations & IT – to accommodate donors and ensure that the recognition and visibility provided is accurate and appropriate
  • Monitor all donor information; provide and present statistical analysis to senior management

Education and Experience:

  • BS or BA required; MBA highly desired
  • 5+ years professional national fund raising experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of grant writing/management experience
  • Ability to travel 30+%

Director of Professional Education

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for Director of Professional Education to promote awareness and recognition of our service among emergency personal.

Typical Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Develop and Execute MedicAlert’s Professional Education plan as well as track and measure data relevant to target audiences, structuring and measurement of success
  • Coordinate the design of educational collateral materials
  • Manage the effective delivery of MedicAlert’s Emergency Response Service messaging to primary and secondary customers
  • Represent MedicAlert at professional conferences to include exhibit management
  • Provide development and training needs of staff with respect to medical information and communication of medical issues
  • Coordinate the design of educational collateral materials
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university and/or related experience
  • Current MBA highly desirable
  • Ideally certified paramedic, nurse or physician with license in good standings

Software Engineer

Job Description:
The MedicAlert Foundation is a non-profit healthcare informatics organization dedicated to providing services to our Members that protect and save lives.

This position is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and research of MedicAlert’s systems and interactions.

Typical Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Analyze and determines data interactions, informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, process flow requirements and reporting capabilities
  • Work with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of MedicAlert’s software
  • Model, design, develop, modify and maintain accepted medical databases, coding sets and knowledge bases
  • Produce Reports as required
  • Update Websites as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • BSc or equivalent
  • Database and SQL knowledge
  • Familiarization with data structures
  • Familiarization with website design and implementation
  • High level programming experience (Java, C#, C, C++)
  • Scripting language experience (PERL, PHP, Flex, Ruby etc)
