 How do I get records into my MedicAlert Gold account?
|
When you become a member of MA Gold, you get your own personal Document Center number. This number can be used to receive both faxes and voice messages. This toll-free number is your MA Gold Document Center number. Every document faxed to your number and every voice message received becomes a new record in your MA Gold account. Once you give your doctors authorization, they can fax in your medical records. You, and anyone else for that matter, also can fax in records to your account using any fax machine.

Can I upload images?

Yes! MA Gold gives you the ability to upload images such as x-rays, scans and MRIs into your account directly from your PC. So, in addition to documents, MA Gold lets you store pictures as well.

What happens when my records are faxed into the system?
|
Each time a document is faxed to your account, MA Gold will send you a notification email to the address you designate in your account settings. The next time you log into your account, you will see alerts for new documents in your MedicAlert Gold "Message Center."

How do I view my records?
|
Next to each new record is a "View" link. When you click it, a new browser window will open with your document.

How do I file my records?
To file your records, click on the "file" link next to the record. A screen will then appear allowing you to select up to 16 folders where you want your record stored. You can also add information such as doctor name and date to the record, as well as your own comments.
MedicAlert Gold provides you with 16 file folders for categorizing and storing your records. You can name your folders to suit your particular needs. For example, you may want to categorize your files by different types of medical specialties and events, such as hospitalization or surgeries.

How do I find my records after they are filed?
|
Each time you access your account, you can see all of your records listed by clicking on the "Document Summary" link in the left hand navigation column. Your records can be sorted by title, date, or physician.

Will MedicAlert Gold work with my E-HealthKEY?
|
Yes! The E-HealthKEY synchronizes with the information stored in your Personal Health Record (PHR) online. MedicAlert Gold membership includes access to your online PHR system and will not interfere with the synchronization between your E-HealthKEY and your medical information stored online.
